Their elongated 12½-inch design gives restaurants and concessions considerably more serving space than a conventional hot dog tray.

Manufactured in Canada by Seaside Paper Products, these TrayToGo food trays feature natural kraft paperboard and a poly-lined interior. They are supplied in commercial cases of 325 trays, divided into five convenient packs of 65 units.

Designed for extra-long hot dogs and sausages

Standard hot dog packaging may be too short for foot-long hot dogs, oversized sausages and specialty menu creations. These extra-long trays provide the additional length required to present larger portions without forcing the food into an undersized package.

They may be suitable for:

Foot-long hot dogs

Oversized sausages

Bratwurst

Italian sausages

Polish sausages

Oktoberfest-style sausages

Gourmet hot dogs

Loaded hot dogs

Narrow submarine sandwiches

Specialty concession foods

Hot dogs served with fries

Sausages with side portions

Restaurants should test the tray with their actual food products before ordering. Bun lengths, sausage sizes, toppings and serving styles can vary significantly.

Approximate 12½-inch length

Each tray has approximate bottom dimensions of 12½ × 2¾ inches and a height of approximately 2½ inches.

The extra-long footprint provides room for elongated menu items while the 2½-inch sidewalls help contain buns, sausages, toppings and accompaniments.

This configuration can be particularly useful when the meal includes:

A long sausage or hot dog

Generous toppings

Condiments and garnishes

A small portion of fries

Onion rings

Pickles

Coleslaw

Other compact side items

The tray does not include compartments, so foods placed inside it will share the same serving area.

Open-top format for fast service

The open-top design supports efficient food preparation and counter service. Employees can place the food inside the tray, add toppings and hand it directly to the customer without assembling or closing a lid.

This design can help simplify service in busy environments such as:

Restaurants

Snack bars

Food trucks

Stadium concessions

Arenas

Festivals

Fairgrounds

Outdoor markets

Catered events

Cafeterias

Amusement venues

Seasonal food stands

Corporate events

Community celebrations

Customers can immediately see and access the food, making the tray well suited to meals intended for prompt consumption.

Natural kraft paperboard

The natural kraft appearance offers a simple and professional presentation compatible with many food-service concepts.

Its neutral brown colour can complement:

Casual restaurant branding

Street-food menus

Barbecue concepts

Festival service

Rustic presentations

Modern kraft packaging

Independent food trucks

Institutional food service

The unprinted surface keeps attention on the food and can be combined with branded napkins, stickers, bags or other accessories.

Poly-lined interior

The tray’s poly-lined interior creates a protective barrier between the food and the paperboard.

This lining can provide additional resistance when the tray is used with foods containing moderate grease, moisture, condiments or sauces. It may be particularly useful for sausages, loaded hot dogs and side portions that could quickly affect unlined paperboard.

The lining does not make the tray sealed or leakproof. Large amounts of liquid sauce may spill from the open top or ends during handling.

Businesses should test the tray with their recipes, serving temperatures and expected holding times before regular use.

Ideal for loaded specialty hot dogs

Modern hot dogs and sausages can include generous quantities of toppings that require more space than a traditional paper sleeve.

These extra-long kraft hot dog trays may accommodate toppings such as:

Chili

Melted cheese

Bacon

Sauerkraut

Grilled onions

Coleslaw

Pickles

Jalapeños

Diced tomatoes

Relish

Specialty sauces

Crispy onions

Fresh herbs

Shredded vegetables

The 2½-inch walls help surround the food and reduce the likelihood of toppings falling directly onto the serving surface.

For exceptionally tall or heavily loaded preparations, test the tray to confirm that it provides sufficient capacity and stability.

Room for a hot dog and side portion

The extra-long design may also allow some businesses to present a main item and a modest side portion in the same tray.

Depending on the size of the hot dog, sausage or sandwich, the remaining space may hold:

French fries

Potato wedges

Onion rings

Pickles

Coleslaw

Kettle chips

Fried vegetables

Small garnishes

Because there is no divider, this configuration works best when direct contact between the main item and the side is acceptable.

A divided container or separate fry tray may be preferable when foods must remain separated.

Extra-long TrayToGo versus standard TrayToGo

ConceptASR offers both standard and extra-long TrayToGo hot dog trays.

The standard model has an approximate 7-inch bottom length and is designed for conventional hot dogs, sausages and similarly sized foods. It is sold in cases of 560.

The extra-long model has an approximate 12½-inch bottom length and is intended for larger specialty items. It is sold in cases of 325.

Choose the extra-long format when:

A standard tray is too short

The menu includes foot-long hot dogs

Oversized sausages are served

Extra space is needed for toppings

A side portion will be placed beside the main item

A long sandwich requires support

The presentation is part of the customer experience

Keeping both sizes available may help food-service businesses match the packaging more accurately to their menu.

TrayToGo versus a folding hot dog carton

This TrayToGo product is an open serving tray rather than a folding takeout carton.

An open TrayToGo tray is useful when:

Food is served immediately

Fast assembly is important

Customers need easy access

Visual presentation is preferred

Full enclosure is unnecessary

A folding SnackToGo container may be preferable when:

The food must be enclosed

Takeout transportation is required

Greater protection is needed

Packages must be handled before consumption

A closing top is preferred

The two products serve different functions and should not be considered duplicates.

Commercial case of 325 trays

The extra-long trays are sold in cases of 325 units, arranged in five inner packs of 65.

The inner packs allow operators to open a smaller quantity at a time while leaving the remaining trays grouped inside the master case.

This commercial configuration may be appropriate for:

Restaurants with specialty hot dog menus

Food trucks

Festival vendors

Seasonal concessions

Stadium operators

Catering businesses

Institutional cafeterias

Event-food providers

The approximate case weight is 23 lb. Confirm available storage space before ordering.

Product specifications

Product type: extra-long open food tray

Brand: TrayToGo

Manufacturer: Seaside Paper Products

Manufacturer’s code: TCTTGNHD1222

GTIN: 10848352003747

Bottom dimensions: approximately 12½ × 2¾ inches

Height: approximately 2½ inches

Material: natural kraft paperboard

Interior: poly-lined

Colour: natural kraft

Design: elongated and open at the top

Lid: not included

Case quantity: 325 trays

Inner packaging: 5 packs of 65

Approximate case weight: 23 lb

Country of manufacture: Canada

Product dimensions and packaging information should be verified before ordering when exact compatibility is essential.

Made in Canada

These extra-long kraft hot dog trays are manufactured in Canada by Seaside Paper Products.

Canadian manufacturing can be valuable to restaurants and food-service businesses looking for professional packaging supplied through a domestic distribution network.

The trays are offered in a commercial case format suitable for regular restaurant operations, seasonal service and special events.

Storage and handling

Store unused trays:

In a clean and dry location

Inside their original packaging

Away from moisture and excessive humidity

Protected from dust and contamination

Away from direct heat

Away from strong odours and chemicals

On shelving or pallets rather than directly on the floor

Employees should use clean hands when handling the trays and avoid crushing their sides when separating or filling them.

Filled trays should remain upright.
